These are made lovingly by the Cofán tribe from the Putumayo region of Colombia.
Each shaker is made from braided natural leather with individual strips of leather attached to each of the 15-17 seeds. Choose your specific shaker with any of the varying available colors.
Pala: A musical seed that is commonly used in shamanic traditions of South America. The seed is used to create vibrations that move the energy of the ceremony, create good vibrations for protection and to transmute bad energies. Pala's unique sound properties bring earthy tones that is reminiscent of sounds of rain or a rain stick. Pala nuts become a miniature sound chamber when played and produce a soothing medium-deep, and crisp projecting tone.
